💻 What does it mean to hire web3-native talent?
This is an excerpt from an interview conversation with Gavin (Founder of Thirdwork) on the recruiting, hiring and talent landscape in web3.
"What does crypto-native talent even mean? I'll put it simply: it's people who can deliver results in an industry where there is no playbook yet. Whether you're building in web2 or web3, people matter. If you're a web3 startup trying to grow and win, you want people who believe in your mission and understand your product, your target market, and your users.
This is magnified when you're bringing on freelance and contract talent: you don't want to spend time on training, education, and onboarding. You'll save time and money if you can hire talented people who can hit the ground running from day one.
That's why we're laser-focused on curating the best talent in web3. These are top builders and freelancers that understand the technology, the players in the ecosystem, and the users. They're immersed in the culture, passionate about the space, and know exactly how to break through to your user base and audience, whether it's brand strategy, growth marketing, or resonant product design.
